1. Cabbages and Condoms, Bangkok (Thailand)

Cabbages and Condoms is a restaurant like none other. Obviously, it’s bizarre name is the first to catch your attention. Well, it comes from the owner’s belief that “birth control should be as accessible as vegetables in the market”. Set inside a beautiful open courtyard, be prepared to find condoms everywhere – hanging from trees, in the form of lights, and even as decorative flowers! On your way out, there aren’t any after-dinner mints, but feel free to grab a condom!
2. Heart Attack Grill, Las Vegas (USA)

Diet? What diet? Folks at Heart Attack Grill believe in food worth dying for. On the menu are artery clogging greasy burgers with fries deep-fried in lard, aptly named triple and quadruple bypass. This calorie bomb of a menu is served in hospital-themed décor by skimpily clad waitresses dressed as nurses.
3. Ithaa Undersea Restaurant, Rangali Island (Maldives)

Move over restaurants set inside aquariums. Ithaa Undersea Restaurant is situated five meters below sea level, the first of its kind. With unobstructed views of corals and the sea life, at this restaurant you can eat your seafood in the sea! Be sure to book well in advance, this undersea restaurant can only host 14 people at a time.
4. Dinner in the Sky, Brussels (Belgium)

If you love thrills, have 21 friends, and $40,000 to spare, then Dinner in the Sky could catch your fancy. Suspended 150-feet above Brussels on a dining table style platform by construction, Dinner in the sky takes gourmet cuisine to new heights, literally. What’s more, you’ll be catered to by some of the best chefs in the world!
5. Izakaya Kayabuki, Utsunomiya (Japan)
From the outside, Kayabuki looks like any other Japanese Izakaya, or sake house. Go in to grab a drink and you’ll be served by monkeys. Yes, you read that right. These clever little ‘waiters’ are actually the owner, Kaoru Otsuka’s pets. If only they accepted peanuts for payments!
6. Modern Toilet, Taipei (Taiwan)

Clearly, Modern Toilet doesn’t believe in the concept of ‘you don’t shit where you eat’. In this loo-themed restaurant, you’ll be sitting on a commode, eating out of toilet shaped crockery, grabbing napkins out of a toilet roll dispenser, and drinking from urinal shaped glasses! That’s not all, at Modern Toilet you’ll be eating dishes like green dysentery (kiwi-flavored green-colored ice cream) and bloody poop (strawberry ice cream). While many may cringe at the thought of eating out of a toilet-shaped bowl, this restaurant has become so popular that it has opened up in 12 locations across the world.
7. Robot Restaurant, Tokyo (Japan)

That the Japanese have a penchant for all things nerd and weird is common knowledge. Robot Restaurant in Tokyo takes this Japanese passion to the next level. Set inside a basement in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district, this neon restaurant with large video screens and mirrors is otherworldly. But what truly makes this restaurant bizarre are the bikini clad waitresses fighting mock battles using giant robots!
