We have all suffered our share of boredom during the COVID lockdown and I am dying to plan my first holiday. The gradual reopening of the World’s economy after the coronavirus lockdown has been some sort of a breather for all travel maniacs.
We’ve been sitting and dreaming about our first holiday post lockdown since March 23.
I want to tell you, how badly I wanted everything to be revived and normalized like it was before. Well, does life ever flow as we planned it to be?
Now there are some countries across, who have planned to open their doors for international tourists. Isn’t it cool?
But I was concerned more from the cost-perspective. Would we be able to get cheap holiday packages? Would we be able to get cheap flight tickets now that the travel industry like many others is looking to revive itself?
But after hours of grinding, it made sense that now the demand will increase, and considering the high-maintenance aircraft, airlines would need to make all the money.
But, what if I tell you that some countries are planning to pay the tourists to plan a holiday there. That’s like a dream come true for me, and I am sure, must be for all the wander-lusters out there. Many countries out there are trying to rope in travelers with incredible deals to encourage more and more people to plan a holiday in the country post-lockdown. It includes covering your flight, hotels, sightseeing expenses.
It may come as a shock to you but let me tell you that there are many countries across the globe where “Travel & Tourism” is heavily relied upon to bring a balance in their economy.
So, as soon as this crisis subsides there will be a time when we get a green light for international travel.
Now, let me take you through all the destinations where we will be lured into visiting them.

1. Sicily

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 20 regions of Italy. This beautiful island is providing what every traveler would be fortunate enough to dream of. Well, they are planning to cover 50% of your flight expense. And, if you are planning to stay for 3 days then they give you a 1-night stay for absolutely NOTHING! But folks, that’s not all. The museums there are allowing free entry for all the tourists.

2. Bulgaria

Before coronavirus, Bulgaria was already one of the most affordable places for all the travelers. What’s even better is that they are planning to waive off the unnecessary beach charges and tourists will be allowed free access to sun-loungers and umbrellas.
Do not think for one second that this isn’t as lucrative as you thought it would be. It would probably save you at least INR 15,000 throughout a weekend-long trip.

3. Cyprus

Let me tell you their really weird yet very helpful plan to lure travelers. They will offer free food and accommodation to all the travelers but WAIT, don’t get your hopes too high. They will test each and every tourist for COVID-19 and upon tested positive, the medical expenses and almost every other essential things will be covered by them.
While some countries have already made plans post COVID, there are some other countries that are trying to lure travelers by bringing up exciting deals and offers. This step is taken to kick start the ailing travel industry. Countries like Japan, UK are still working on the deals that could benefit them as well as their economy so that it’s a win-win for both parties.
Other than these locations, countries like Japan, Cyprus, and the UK are also working rigorously towards reviving their tourism by enticing tourists with high discounts on airfare and accommodation.
With all of these fantastic initiatives by these countries I have started to think that 2021 will give us more and more travel influencers.
You can also book flight tickets on EMI and cut the cost by not committing huge upfront costs.
