Go bamboo rafting on Periyar Lake:
Bamboo rafting can be one of the most delightful experiences in the Periyar tiger reserve for nature lovers. This ride will take you through the most diversified wildlife spots in the western ghat where you can get a panoramic view of forest-clad hills reflecting on the lake. In a full-day bamboo riding program you spot many wild animals like gaur, elephants, and sambhar.  
Get drenched at Athirapally falls:
Athirappally falls is the largest waterfall in Kerala, also known as the Niagara of India. This 80 ft tall waterfall is just 55 km away from Kochi airport and quite a spot to start your journey with. The sight and sound of the water crashing leaves you with a sense of wonder at the sheer power and magnificence of nature. Just standing nearby would wet you with the water spray! 
Watch the Neelkurinji bloom in Munnar:
If you are wondering that Munnar is only about trying different tea flavors, then you are wrong! Eravikulam national park is one of the most serene tourist attractions because of Neelkurinji, the land that blooms with beautiful flowers giving you magnificent view of the hills.  You can also spot the Neelgiri Tahr, an endangered species of a mountain goat in this region. 
Hit the beaches in Kovalam:
About 16 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset at the Kovalam beach and visit many tourist spots nearbuy. The must visit beaches in the region are Lighthouse beach, Samudra beach, and Hawah beach. Once you visit this stretch of Kerala, you will understand why Kovalam is the favorite spot of photographers.
Take a spice tour in Thekkady:
If you want to explore farms on a nature walk then you must take a spice tour in Thekkady or Wayanad. Famous for it’s ancient black pepper, you’ll encounter all sorts of spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and exotic vanilla grown around the plantations of Periyar.
